Research On Genre: Action

I will be doing my research on action genre.

Themes:

• Fights
• Police 
• Villain and hero
• Car chase

• Disasters 
• Gangs

Horror Sub Genre:

• Comedy action 
• Martial arts
• Sci-fi action
• Superhero movies
• Disaster films
• Spy films

Settings:

• Police station 
• Hood
• high ways 
• Islands
• City's
• Most action films use very interesting locations where the characters have to survive  with extremes of climate, as well as evil forces. this was it makes the film more interesting for the audience and to keep them on the edge of their seat.but at the same time the locations have to be realistic.

Characters: 

• With the research that i have done i have found out that certain characters are the main way that people recognize the movie.
• The Terminator a futristic assassin
• John Rambo, a troubled Vietnam War veteran
• Darth Vader as the main protaginist in the star wars films
• 007 as james bond 
• Batman the superhero

Music/Sound:

• Sound is very important as it creates the correct atmosphere you would hear this all depends on the scene so for example if its a car chase you would want quick music to engage the audience or if its a sad moment for example a characters dies you would have sad music to reflect the emotions.
